What a story to come back to. You may have heard about the 200+ child remains buried on the grounds of the Indian Residential School in Kamloops, British Columbia (Between Vancouver and Calgary). In the century and-a-half of the operations of those schools over 150,000 children never made it home in what’s been described as a “cultural genocide”. The Canadian Government is stepping up to help bring accountability for these events, even if it means to themselves.
There are more broad and far-reaching implications for this type of religiously-operated institution and we’re going to talk at length about this.

A comment from the Archdiocese of Canada: “The Catholic Church as a whole in Canada was not associated with the residential schools, nor was the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops,” it said.
