Last week it was “Why would you do that?” This week it’s sort of a follow up. Governor Larry Hogan of the state of Maryland in the US has signed legislation banning “conversion therapy” meant to turn gay people straight. They now join Connecticut, California, Nevada, New Jersey, the District of Columbia, Oregon, Illinois, Vermont, New York, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and Washington State.
Let’s have a little discussion about where the line between legislation and medical science converge and where religion has blurred that intersection.
